Pune: Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 has entered a decisive phase with the successful completion of the mandatory safety and technical inspection conducted by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO).
The inspection marks a crucial step toward the commencement of passenger services on the Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar metro corridor.
The RDSO inspection, which assesses compliance with metro safety norms and technical standards, is considered essential before initiating commercial operations.
With this process now completed, the project has cleared one of its most significant regulatory requirements.

Rolling Stock Readiness Strengthens Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 Progress
According to information shared by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), the supply of rolling stock for Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 is progressing as planned.
A total of 14 metro trains have already been delivered, while the remaining units will arrive soon, taking the total count to 22 trains as per the approved schedule.
These trains will be used for phased testing, trial runs, and further operational readiness ahead of regular passenger services.

Station Works Near Completion Along Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 Corridor
Work across metro stations along Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 is advancing at a steady pace. Civil construction, system installations, and interior finishing activities are nearing completion.
Station structures, platforms, entry and exit facilities, and essential commuter amenities are almost ready, while coordination among multiple agencies is ongoing to ensure smooth project execution.
As per the current project timeline, authorities have set a target to open most stations on Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 for passenger use by March 31, marking a significant step toward enhancing urban mobility between Hinjawadi and Shivajinagar.
